Vienna, VA (PRWEB) August 10, 2005 -- Softeon, provider of the industry's
most innovative software solutions for supply chain execution, announced today
that it has achieved several certifications from SAP for integration to SAP's
ERP suite and NetWeaver platform. As one of a small number of SCE and Warehouse
Management System (WMS) providers to achieve these certifications, Softeon will
reduce the cost and risk of integration for SAP customers considering
best-of-breed logistics solutions.
The advanced technical architecture of the ELITE series solutions greatly facilitated the certification effort. Softeon's entire integrated suite of WMS, transportation management, order management and other SCE applications is completely web-native and J2EE (Java) compliant, and was built using advanced Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design standards.
Softeon today announced it has received the following SAP certifications:
* ELITE'S Interface Services are certified for Decentralized Warehouse Management Systems (LE-IDW 4.6 certification), and enable ELITE to run as a decentralized, stand-alone WMS operated separately from the ERP (SAP R/3 4.6, 4.7 or mySAP suite of applications like mySAP ERP)
* ELITE's core architecture is J2EE compliant, is therefore certified to run on NetWeaver framework - under SAP WAS 6.4 (web application server)
* ELITE's “Powered by NetWeaver” certification brings the benefits of NetWeaver components into play – ELITE can make available crucial WMS performance data and monitoring content into SAP portals (SAP BW and other NetWeaver services) in the framework
* ELITE has also achieved the “Certified Business Package for SAP Enterprise Portal" (SAP EP-BP 6.0) designation.
ELITE's high performance WMS interface service can support multiple integration methods with SAP, including NetWeaver, real-time BAPI interfaces, and IDOC exchange. ELITE is able to process thousands of IDOCs in the fastest possible manner, giving a high visibility of inventory and goods movements back to SAP users. ELITE also has a superior error-handling engine to monitor IDOC status, error processing and system down time situations.
“Softeon has an extremely strong track record of successful integration with SAP, other ERPs systems, and legacy systems,” said Gana Govind, president of Softeon. “We have a proven approach and the technology platform to reduce the time, cost and risk of integration with any external system. The SAP certifications demonstrate these capabilities and our commitment to successful system deployments.”
Unlike most other best-of-breed providers, Softeon can support both sides of the integration (its own and the SAP side), and has extensive knowledge of SAP integration requirements.
Softeon (www.softeon.com) provides the industry's most functionally rich suite of WMS and supply chain execution solutions.
