X-Digital Systems Deploys Linux-based DVB-IP Encapsulator Using Digital Media Processor Solution

X-Digital Systems Inc. (XDS), today announced it has deployed a Linux-based DVB-IP Encapsulator (IPE) using the TMS320DM642 digital media processor from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). Leveraging TIs high-performance, peripheral-rich digital media processor, X-Digital built a media distribution system providing customers with the ability to directly broadcast MPEG content stored on a server into DVB transmission systems currently used in the media broadcast environment.
