Champion Pimaster Mike Mills will be at The Smoked Joint: A Barbecue Experience promoting his newest book PEACE, LOVE, AND BARBECUE Recipes, Secrets, Tall Tales and Outrageous Lies from the Legends Of Barbecue as part of Summer The Book and The Cook. Mike and his daughter and Co-Author Amy Mills Tunnicliffe have designed a special menu highlighting some of their most celebrated recipes.

Chefs Keith & Adam Gertler were beside them selves when they found out Mike was interested in coming to The Smoked Joint, “He’s a legend” says Chef/co-owner Keith “ he’s like the Vince Lombardi of barbecue, When we heard he was coming to the Smoked Joint, we couldn’t believe it. Mike Mills in our restaurant!” What pleasures may we behold in this meeting of the barbecue minds? The master and his disciples together for the very first time are sure to provide an evening of great food, good laughs and a fine education on the art of cooking with smoke.

Mike Mills & Amy Tunnicliffe Mills will be on hand to autograph copies of their book and to answer any questions about the art of barbecue. Friday evening’s Prix Fixe Menu as follows:

The $45 prix fixe will be available from 6pm to 10pm July 15, 2005. All items on the Smoked Joint’s menu will be available as well including their newest offerings: Smoked Short Ribs and Banana Cream Pie. Drink specials, care of Woodford Reserve and wine & beer parings round out what is sure to be a spectacular evening of Peace, Love and Barbecue.
